KEVIN RICE

Kevin earned a Masters of Social Work and Masters of Science in Human Development from the University of Illinois in 1992. He is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in California, and in addition to his work as clinical supervisor in a mental health clinic and private practice clinician, he works as a consultant, workshop presenter, and trainer. Kevin’s diverse interests stem from his vast professional experiences in a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatric hospitals, community and residential mental health centers, adult day health care centers, and international humanitarian relief organizations, to name a few. Kevin is a sought-after speaker for his expertise in assessment/intervention techniques, particularly with crisis situations. Known for his sometimes unorthodox approach, his interviewing/assessment techniques are described as informal, compassionate, and effective.
